Due to Easter Holidays, the German Embassy in Abu Dhabi as well as the German Consulate General in Dubai will remain closed on Friday, April 3^rd 2026 and Monday, April 6^th 2026.

The teams at the German Missions in the United Arab Emirates are here to assist you. Due to the current situation, regular services are currently restricted.

Passport applications, legalizations and signature certifications will be processed regularly. If you urgently require a passport for a newborn, please send us a request for a special appointment via the contact form on our website. We cannot currently process non-urgent registrations of marriages or births.

Passports that are ready for collection can be picked up daily between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. without an appointment.

Cancelled Schengen visa appointments are currently being rescheduled on a weekly basis. If your appointment was cancelled, please await further instructions. New appointments cannot be scheduled at this time. You may register for our Waitlist as an alternative.

Spouses and minor children of German citizens can apply for a Schengen visa without a prior appointment at our external service provider VFS between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily.

National visa applications are being processed in limited quantities.
