Due to Eid Al-Fitr holidays, The Embassy of Federal Republic of Germany in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Dubai will remain closed on Thursday, March 19^th 2026 as well as on Friday, March 20^th 2026.

The teams at the German Missions in the United Arab Emirates are working around the clock to assist you. In order to be able to devote ourselves fully to the current crisis situation, regular services are currently severely restricted.

Appointments for passport applications will be maintained. In addition, we are receiving many requests for special passport appointments, which we are processing with the highest priority. All other appointment categories (certification, authentication) cannot be served at this time.

Visa applications that have already been received will continue to be processed. Spouses of German citizens can apply for a Schengen visa without a prior appointment at our external service provider VFS between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily. Appointments for applying for other Schengen visas have had to be canceled until further notice due to the current situation. Applications for family reunification and for the purpose of study will continue to be accepted and processed.
