Reintroduction of the pandemic-related entry restrictions for travelers from the United Arab Emirates

The federal government has reintroduced the entry restrictions for people resident in the United Arab Emirates with effect from Sunday, January 9th, 2022, 0.00h CET. This measure serves to prevent the COVID-19 infection process from spreading further. As a result, entry from the United Arab Emirates to Germany with or without a visa can only be made for an important reason or with a full vaccination. You can find more information on entering Germany from the United Arab Emirates in the FAQs of the Federal Ministry of the Interior in German and English.
